schools 2020

Working with schools, enhancing the Curriculum for Wales, and preparing young people to be life long learners.

Schools in Wales are changing. We are in the middle of an exciting curriculum reform, and it's transforming the way we look at learning in the classroom and beyond.

A Curriculum for Wales

pyka are excited, ready, and equipped to support the changes outlined in Successful Futures as we move towards the new Curriculum for Wales.

Through our work we:

  • Embed the 'four purposes' of the curriculum.
  • Explore the 6 Areas of Learning and Experience.
  • Support the Digital Competence Framework.

Our Learning Journeys

We deliver projects in schools to learners of all ages, utilising a wide range of creative disciplines to support and enhance all aspects of school life. We've transformed learners into budding storytellers through interactive sound, developed their oracy skills through cardboard game design, and fostered ethical thinkers through electronics and coding.

contact us about our education resources

"Education should be innovative, and pyka’s creative school engagements certainly are. So many areas of the curriculum were covered during the programme of work. Finances in school are tight, I consider it not only money well spent but also an investment in securing important skills our pupils will use in the future"

Jon Murphy, Headteacher, Llanfoist Fawr Primary School, Wales. (2017)
